Once you really start to see changes in your body through better nutrition and consistent exercise it feels great to be able to celebrate, treat yourself to a new pair of jeans, and enjoy the compliments coming your way. However, if you feel as though you still haven't reached your goal (which, by the way, there is a great ideal weight calculator at Shape.com), you can begin to feel frustrated if you're stuck in one place, continuing to work hard but still aren't going anywhere.
A few suggestions for breaking through a weight loss plateau:
If you have primarily been weight training, try incorporating some cardiovascular workouts.
If you have primarily been doing cardiovascular workouts, try incorporating some light weight training.
Take a close look at your regular quality and quantity of food intake and evaluate whether or not you are falling into one of many common pitfalls.
